
The Psychology Department at Berry College is seeking a Psychologist for a Three-year Clinical Position to begin Fall 2014.
The Psychology Department at Berry College invites applications for a 3-year renewable Clinical Position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning Fall 2014. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology and have expertise and training in Applied Behavior Analysis; the ideal candidate would also be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Preference will be given to candidates with both doctoral level BCBA (BCBA-D) and eligibility for Licensure as a psychologist in the state of Georgia. Teaching responsibilities will include such courses as Applied Behavior Analysis, Introduction to Psychology, and Lifespan Development. Advising and mentoring undergraduate students, supervising interns and field experience and service at the college, school, and department level are expected.
This faculty member will also assist in the development of an undergraduate program that would prepare students for BCaBA certification. Initially, this program will support undergraduates obtaining knowledge and experience required for providing excellent clinical service, as defined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board. Future expansion to provide training at the master’s degree level is likely. Berry College has initiated discussion of formal training collaborations with clinical facilities in the region that take a lead role nationally in the development of innovative use of ABA to treat severe behavioral disorders, language acquisition, educational deficits and feeding disorders. The program is expected to include close collaboration with faculty in these facilities for providing classroom instruction and supervision of students in clinical practica. Competitive applicants will have had previous experience in supervising clinical training in ABA.
