The Psychology Department at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin is pleased to announce an opening for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor beginning August, 2014. We are seeking a candidate with a PhD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA approved program who is eligible for licensure in Texas. The specialty is open but the ability to engage in a productive program of research is expected. Research experience is desired. This position may include teaching undergraduate courses in research methods, introductory psychology, personality, or abnormal psychology and graduate courses in ethics, clinical practicum, and intellectual or personality assessment. Other courses to be taught would reflect the candidate's area of interest. The Psychology Department has 7 full-time faculty, over 300 undergraduate majors, and roughly 50 master's degree students. In addition to teaching, faculty members are required to develop productive research agendas, encouraged to pursue research funding through grant development, and provide developmental, college, and university service. Willingness to develop and teach online courses is required.
