I have a postdoc lined up for next year and my job search is over. So why can't I just quit checking the wiki?!

Same here! I accepted an offer in early January for a TT position, but here I am in March checking the wiki! I should note that I have continued to offer suggestions, answers, and comments to others on this site, so perhaps checking the wiki should go under "Service" on my CV :)
Man, I got my job last year, have zero intention of leaving, and I still show up every day
It's because we, deep down inside, like the abusiveness of the search. ;)
I still check the wiki, and I've been off the market since 2012, and won't be on it again until this fall.
Ditto! Happy with my T-T post, but it was a long battle landing it. So, I am living vicariously through you desperate searchers…err, showing support and solidarity, that is.
The freaking thing won't let me link to videos, I think I posted this, but anyway…Dawn of the Dead (1978). The set up: Main characters are on top of a shopping mall looking down a skylight at the undead wandering around stores:
Francine Parker: What are they doing? Why do they come here?
Stephen: Some kind of instinct. Memory of what they used to do. This was an important place in their lives.
Hah, that's great 8ball. I'm another one who got my job last year but still can't stop checking the wiki.
I took a job this year, excited about it, and I'm still coming every day. I wish I could "like" this post.
