I second higheredjobs.com and usajobs.gov; I found many positions on these websites. Also find out if what you're interested in has an association. For instance, the Association for Institutional Research has a comprehensive job listing page. I also found LinkedIn and indeed.com to be useful (I in fact had recruiters start contacting me once I updated my LinkedIn profile and joined some groups related to fields I was interested in). You may also look in to government contract work; a lot of gov jobs listed on usajobs actually end up being filled by contractors. Booz-Allen is a large one, and they will also allow you to set up an automatic job search. Finally, you might look at versatilephd.com. Their job listings are not the most comprehensive, but what is there tends to be pretty good.
