
The Psychology Department ( http://www.rhodes.edu/psych/default.asp) at Rhodes College invites applications for an associate professor (with tenure) or an advanced assistant professor who has a program of research that is focused on LGBTQ issues to begin in Fall 2015. Candidates from all subdisciplines of psychology will be considered. The candidate must possess a firm commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service at a liberal arts college. It is expected that this person will also contribute to LGBTQ educational and advocacy initiatives on campus. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory and content courses as well as upper-level research and seminar courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Candidates must have a strong teaching record and an active research program. The typical teaching load is 3/2 during a two-semester academic year. The successful candidate will be expected to involve undergraduate students in LGBTQ research, participate in the life of the College, and contribute to an interdisciplinary program in Gender and Sexuality Studies (http://www.rhodes.edu/gender/default.asp).
